A: When your present hosting provider can no longer match the demands of your site, or if you suffer from frequent network downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the customer service staff to reply back to you, it may be smart to change your provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your web sites as well as your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At ZrainMedia Hosting, we realize that this can often be hard & time–consuming. This is why we will do all that for you for free!Our capable technical staff members will migrate your web site content from your present provider to us. Our technicians have plenty of experience with web site migration and are able to take care of everything – from a traditional WordPress–driven blog or Joomla^™–powered web site, to an extremely complex, custom–built web application.

A: There are plenty of factors to take into consideration – the overall number of web files, the size of the database, the complexity of the website itself and the present workload of our web site migration experts, etc. Yet, we do our very best to implement all web site migrations within a 48–hour period. Smaller–sized web sites are transferred faster – typically within 24 hours.

A: We don’t need any sensitive data. We’ll need, however, the login information for your old web hosting account along with the name of the website that you need to transfer.

A: In order for us to start the migration of your hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to disclose pretty much the same information you have given to your old host. We also have an extremely rigid Privacy Policy, which describes how delicate information is used.

A: Nah. Your site will remain accessible online during the migration. As soon as everything is completed on our end, we will let you know so that you can preview it and check for any problems. If everything’s alright, all you will have to do is update your domain name’s DNS settings.

A: While we move your web content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We will not get in touch with them in any way.

A: We can transfer your site from any web hosting provider or any Linux–driven web hosting platform as long as we can receive access to the Control Panel and there’s File Transfer Protocol access available.The only websites that we cannot migrate are the ones based on closed–source software apps such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
